This painting was many things and took many turns. I wasn't happy with the painting as it stood.   I was over-saturated by all the art I was seeing on social media. It was at that point when I decided to close my phone and not look anymore.  I knew I needed to turn inward and tap into myself with no outside inspiration or influence.  That's when the magic came to me.  My honest work came from my heartstrings.

I've included a close up crop so you can see the etchings in the painting.

"Heartstrings" is 36" X 36" X 1.5" painted with artist grade acrylics and has markings scraped into it for texture and movement. It's on gallery wrapped canvas with sides painted black. It is wired and ready to hang. It will be coated with a gloss varnish to protect from dust.
